I, for one, welcome our new ranga overlord

julie-bishop-2

Given that the Prime Minister has confirmed today that the same ministers will be conducting the same negotiations with the mining industry, for the same $12 billion outcome as before today’s unprecedented political assassination of the former prime minister, what policy change has occurred? Or is the change, what many suspect a new face but still same old Labor, same old tax?

3849135I thank the same old Deputy Leader of the Opposition for her question…

And wish her well as she serves her third leader.

BUUURRRN!

PWNED

#PwnedNudieRun

Two months ago I had a dream. And last night my dream, and those of the millions thousands hundreds dozens of Twitterers who had joined the #PwnedNudieRun cult, were answered.

Which means that Garry Linnell, and Paul Kent, and their first rate sources, to use a word beloved of the computer-gamers, have been well and truly pwned.

That’s P-W-N-E-D. And I didn’t know the word either, until I started using Twitter. I rather like it.

Ladies and gentlemen …

holmespwned

And what an awesome way for Jonathan Holmes to say it. Classy and perfect.

But within seconds of That Word leaving @jonaholmesMW’s lips, every single #PwnedNudieRun-ner foolish enough to make their pledge about as public as it can be, had their bluff called.

@clubwah: Strip off you fat bloggy nerds!

So we did.

#PwnedNudieRun: could it be?

It all started …

Well, how it all started is covered at another blog.

Last night I had a hasty thought and, as is the way of The Internet, I tweeted it: “I will seriously do a nudie run around Brunswick if Jonathan Holmes ever says “pwned” on Media Watch.

Read the whole thing for the whole story. But in a nutshell, every Monday night since that day a growing group of Twitter users (using the hashtag #PwnedNudieRun) have watched Media Watch, trembling with the anticipation of hearing That Word.

But nothing. Weeks and weeks of anti-climaxes and anti-nudity.

Two days ago a #PwnedNudieRun supporter asked Jonathan Holmes a question via Twitter:

@jonaholmesMW As next week is #mediawatch ’s last week, please tell me you’re going to say the magic word. Also, is this really you?

And Jonathan Holmes answered:

@sunlightandsnow #mediawatch wait and see. yes its me. btw dispute in MW office. poned? pawned? how do u pronounce magic word?

Oh. My. God. Could it be that next Monday, around 9.35pm, there will be a spate of nudie runs around lattebelt suburbs across Australia?
