The lower house of the French parliament has voted to ban the Islamic face veil in public spaces.
The law won overwhelming support in the National Assembly’s lower house and is expected to have similarly easy passage through the Senate in September.

Funny stuff Spock
What shits me about the French doing, apart from the imposition on Muslim women, this is that it starts a whole new round of talk back and website comments about the subject.
Also, how does the western world complain about dress restrictions in countries such as Saudi Arabia when many are interested in following France’s lead?

Couldn’t agree more. The part that really angers me is the hypocrisy from certain Christian groups. They will demand religious freedom when it comes to their ‘right’ to discriminate on the grounds of sexuality. But fall strangely silent on these issues of religious freedom.
I guess religious freedom is only for Christian religious.
