I was the Assistant Treasurer to Peter Costello.

Suddenly, his total absence of the will to fight and his expectation that power will be handed to him on a platter makes sense. Poor mentoring.

Well hopefully the good people of Dickson will tell him to go jump.

Your local member comes in handy when things have turned tits up and you need some support wading thru beaurocracy or fighting some losing battle with corporate/legal bollocks.

My local member gets her hands dirty when necessary. A mark of the electorate’s esteem was having something (I forget what) named after her, even though the electorate boundary had shifted.
